What is
SMP?

To put it simply.

Scalp Micro Pigmentation (SMP), or "Hair Tattoo," is a non-surgical cosmetic treatment that uses micro-needles to deposit tiny dots into the scalp, mimicking natural hair follicles.

This creates the appearance of thicker hair or a closely shaved look. SMP is semi-permanent, safe for existing hair follicles, and works for both men and women, addressing issues like male pattern baldness, alopecia, scars, receding hairlines, and thinning hair without causing further hair loss.

what makes SMP unique to other hair loss solutions?

There's four unique elements:

1. pigment & needle

SMP (Scalp Micropigmentation) is a precise cosmetic procedure that involves implanting custom-mixed pigments into the upper dermis to mimic surrounding hair follicles. This technique effectively addresses thinning hair, receding hairlines, scars, or bald spots, providing a natural-looking, youthful appearance. Unlike traditional tattoos, which are placed deeper in the skin and can blur & change colour over time, SMP pigments are applied in the papillary layer using ultra-fine needles specifically designed for SMP. This placement ensures the pigment remains crisp and well-defined, gradually fading as the body naturally breaks it down.

2. non surgical

SMP offers several benefits: Minimally Invasive: Unlike hair transplants, which involve surgery and incisions, SMP uses a fine needle (0.6mm) to apply pigment to the scalp without causing permanent damage. Quick Recovery: SMP requires no surgery, so recovery is fast. Most clients resume normal activities within a day, with minor precautions like avoiding excessive heat and swimming for a week. Reduced Risks: SMP has lower risks compared to surgical options. There’s no risk of scarring or anesthesia complications, and common side effects are minor, such as temporary redness or sensitivity. Overall, SMP is a safer, less invasive alternative for addressing hair loss with minimal recovery time.

2. low maintenance

SMP stands out for its low-maintenance benefits: No Special Products Needed: SMP doesn’t require special shampoos or treatments, so you can continue your regular hair care routine without extra steps. Long-Lasting Results: The pigments fade slowly, needing touch-ups only every three to five years, adding to its convenience. Minimal Daily Maintenance: After the initial week of healing, SMP needs no daily upkeep. Unlike wigs or hair systems, it doesn’t require adjustment, cleaning, or styling. Sweat and Water Resistant: Once healed, SMP is unaffected by water, sweat, or activities like swimming. However, protecting your scalp from excessive sun with sunscreen is recommended.

2. cost effective

Another benefit of SMP is being cost effective One-time expense: Once you have completed your consultation and received your quote, your treatment can be carried out. Upon completion there is no further investment required. Only occasional touch-ups may be needed every three to five years, unlike solutions requiring continuous investment such as wigs, dyes and fibers. No ongoing product costs: Unlike topical solutions or medications, which need regular purchases, SMP does not require any creams or medications for maintenance, eliminating recurring expenses. Avoids high surgical costs: SMP is a non-surgical alternative to hair transplants, which can cost up to $15,000 - $45,000 dollars (depending on how many treatments) and involve additional expenses for anesthesia, travel and recovery. Minimal maintenance: SMP requires very little upkeep, avoiding the costs associated with hairpieces, wigs, or specialized haircare routines. Regular grooming can be integrated into your routine at home for gents or ladies rocking the buzzcut look, or with standard barber services.
